SEO Horror Story #4
My nightmare is never ending. The ghoulish developers for a company I work for can’t understand that their dynamically driven web pages are creating SEO chaos. In addition to the “correct” URLs being generated and spidered, hybrid URLs which contain the header for one category and the body of a different category are being generated and found. For instance, there can be a catalog page with a header about a brand of widgets, but the body of the page is about wodgets. Same goes with product pages. The title and header can be about a certain wodget product, but the body is about a widget product.
These are being generated by the thousands. Google Webmaster Tools is reporting them right and left, yet the developer attitude is “what’s the big deal, every thing works?”
Arghhhhhh!!!!
